Happy New...Month!

1/2/15
So I'm a month late, but hopefully you guys will still enjoy seeing the pictures I took on New Year's Eve. I certainly enjoyed the experience I had while taking them.

(These are actually from a fireworks show a few days before the New Year:)

(Okay, now these are from New Year's Eve:)

While making our way towards Brenna/literally ''Burning''--it's a giant bonfire.

Occasionally people wearing fire-resistant suits would walk over and dump more gasoline on the fire to keep it going, and there was always a big fwoosh and checking to make sure your eyebrows hadn't been singed off.

One of the problems with having a giant bonfire in a country as windy as Iceland is that sometimes stuff like this happens:

Also, I found great joy in watching a group of adults playing with some sparklers:

This guy is 100% a wizard, just saying.

After going back to the apartment to watch the New Year's comedy show-thing (can't remember what it's called--sorry!), we went out again to Perlan to count down to 2015, where we'd have a better view of the city.

''3...2...1...''

And that was pretty much it. I was pretty exhausted afterwards, but it was an exciting start to what has so far been an exciting year. Let's hope that continues!
